Here is a 1976 Les Paul Deluxe/Standard . This model was one of the Deluxe's available with factory routed full size humbuckers. I say again FACTORY ROUTED .First things first, if you are looking for a guitar that you keep locked away and take it out to look at but are afraid to play it because it might get scratched or something then this ain't for you. This is a Fantastic Players Guitar ! I have owned this guitar since 1983 so here's the history: When I bought it the original pups had been replaced with Dimarzio's , and the tuners were replaced with Schallers. The screw holes looked to have been pro repaired. The knobs were replaced, and the strap buttons were replaced. Since that time I replaced the dimarzio's with era correct t-top pups , I just installed new Schaller tuners a few months ago . I replaced the plastic jack plate years ago as it was cracked but i still have the original. The truss rod cover was a blank and was replaced with a Standard , I still have the original. I replaced the knobs with Proline knobs. The bridge ,Tail piece etc. are original . The pots are original and date to 1976. The P/U switch is original. The pickguard, p/u switch ring ,tip, p/u mounts are original. The frets are original and have some slight grooving but still have much life left in them. The finish has some dings and scratches .1 ding on front had some sealer put on it to keep it from growing. ( see pic) previous owner did this. The neck is dead straight.It was set up about 6 mos. ago. The tech made a nice offer on it but at the time I wasn't interested in selling it but times have changed. So if you are a Player looking for A GREAT SOUNDING AND LOOKING Vintage Les Paul then this one is for YOU. Awesome TONE, Fast Low Action .A Players Dream ! A Great Vintage AX ! Comes with A vintage case although it is not a Gibson but a nice quality case in good shape . I believe it is an Ibanez custom studio but I am not certain. Thanks for looking !
